First impressions Aliexpress $278 prusa i3 clone

I just received and built my first 3d printer. I went with the Chinese prusa clone with all metal supports since I have heard a lot of negative about acrylic. I got the QSU package which makes this $278 shipped to the US.http://ift.tt/2lnsdmP kit has a lot of options, I purchased the upgraded bearings but not the dual extruders. It arrived within about 10 days from the US. The package was well packed and included everything I needed. The only issue I encountered during the build is that 2 holes in one of the frame pieces should have been threaded but they missed that step at the factory. I tapped the threads myself and went on no problem. (The seller suggested using one of the extra smaller bolts and nuts that came in the kit instead which would probably also’ve worked.) Total assembly time was about 6 hours over 3 nights. I could have saved 30 minutes if those holes had been tapped already.Everything is included out of the box so the firmware is current, the bed is already coated with tape. I purchased 2 rolls of filament with it. I received 1 white ABS 500g and 1 black PLA 500g. I tried to print benchy 4 times in PLA but it kept popping off mid print. I finally added a bit of hairspray and voila.http://ift.tt/2kBYfaB, you can see that there are definitely some settings to tweak and some slicer settings to learn, but I wanted to share my early results with a lower cost printer in case anyone else is on the fence about them. http://ift.tt/2lXVvW7
