Don’t bother trying to offer your services on MakeXYZ, it seems like they are actively trying to undermine people that sell through them

I’ve been trying to offer my 3D printing services locally as a way to subsidize the cost of my printer and while things have been great with 3Dhubs I’ve noticed a few a few questionable if not down right scammy things going on with makeXYZ.First thing that set up a red flag was how difficult it was for me to purchase local printing services (which is what led me to getting my own printer, in fact) through their website. Their website layout makes it very confusing to order from a seller versus order from makeXYZ. Take for example this sellers page, you would think that clicking the big red order button would mean you are ordering from that person, but in fact it initiates the order process from makeXYZ, what you have to do instead is click the smaller same-color-as-the-background “Ask a question” button.Next thing is their “marketing” which you can pay from $9/week to $13/week to have your store show up at the top of the search results, which by the way you have to scroll down to see because the huge “ORDER FROM MAKEXYZ” section takes up a full page.Lastly, to cancel this not-so-effective marketing you have to email customer support with a “Please stop stealing from my wallet every week for your BS promotion service.”. Yes, that’s right you have to email customer support to cancel this completely ineffective money grab, which apparently may take more than 6 weeks to cancel.TL;DR: MakeXYZ is the Comcast of 3D printing service providers.Whew, needed to get that off my chest. Now wish me luck with getting my money back from them.EDIT: I also wanted to mention that this is a shame because my first ever experience with 3D printing was with makeXYZ two years ago when I needed something prototyped and found someone locally using their service. How they went from being my go-to for connecting with local printing services to this nightmare is a complete mystery. http://ift.tt/24qhIuY
