PETG Fine Prints

I have attempted to print a Tower of Pi in PETG due to it being food safe and have better heat tolerances. Also running low on PLA, but thats aside the point. Unfortunately, There were issues scattered about the entire print. While printing the base, it nearly failed to complete the overhangs on a 20% infill. You can see a few bumps in the bottom from the raised part of the grid infill. The print is fairly stringy, but that was to be expected with PETG. The main issue, however, is the top part of the tower. the rest of it printed fine, just the top part looks like it had an aneurysm mid print.Printing on a Monoprice Select v2.1 with:0.1mm Layer Height0.4mm Wall Thickness20% Infill250C Hot End (Struggled to hit 250, more like 245)90C Build Plate105% Flow Rate8mm Retraction Distance30mm/s Retraction Speed40mm/s Print Speed100mm/s Travel SpeedBuild Plate Adhesion: RaftThanks for any help, just not sure where to go from here. Maybe adjusting the retraction settings? But it worked for the bottom part. Could I just need some Z braces? http://ift.tt/2fazv8n
