I have a small side business selling some prints of my designs. I used to sell the prints and also share my designs on thingiverse, but after finding some people on ebay selling my prints as well I got turned off to sharing things that I sell. The frustrating part is that I regularly get people emailing me asking for the STL because “they have a 3d printer too”. And when I inform them that I do not share or sell my STL’s they always give me the same threat of “well give it to me or i’ll just go design my own and then share that with the world”. Like good for you guy, but in my experience this is ALWAYS a threat and people are either incapable of designing their own or just don’t have the drive to do so.
