Lulzbot appear to no longer be making their significant donations to the developers of (open source) OctoPrint and Marlin. If you use either of these pieces of software in your workflow (and you probably do!), please consider supporting the creators and their amazing works on patreon.

Lulzbot recently downsized their company by something like 90%, citing financial hardship. They had previously been offering significant financial contributions to foosel/Gina Häußge: the creator and sole developer of OctoPrint, and thinkyhead/Scott Lahteine: developer of Marlin firmware. These donations have ceased, leaving a wide hole in the monthly paychecks of these creators. Each of these creators work full time to make these wonderful and groundbreaking pieces of software that are utilised throughout the 3D printing industry: commercial and consumer ends alike. So I’m hoping we as a community might be able to help fill in the void: if you use these wonderful pieces of software at home, or even if you just want to continue to see the 3D printing feild flourish (and continue to build upon our strong roots in open source) please consider donating to these tireless creators on their Patreons:https://ift.tt/33NdK6c if you are a business that uses their software, consider sponsoring them more formally. Thanks to everyone who supports this wonderful community!Happy printing! 🙂 ♥️♥️Edit: thank you so much for the awards, but please don’t give me any more, please instead donate that money to Gina or Scott! Thanks! https://ift.tt/33VbzO2
