One of the great hidden features in SOLIDWORKS 2019 is called “3D Textures” which let you take otherwise flat CAD parts and put repeating textures on them that actually displace out from the surface for 3D printing. And since the output is just an STL (a very large STL, but still just an STL), you can use it with almost any type of 3D printer! Here’s how it looked on mine:http://bit.ly/2QAutmx if you wanted to see how it was done, I’ve also written a step-by-step tutorial here: https://grabcad.com/tutorials/how-to-3d-texture-your-parts-for-fdm-printing-using-solidworks-2019Hope this helps make your 2019 prints more interesting! http://bit.ly/2RK9K4k
