Nothing but woes…

Bought my first 3d printer about a month ago and have had nothing but problems with it. It’s a Wanhao Duplicator i3 which I sourced from craigslist. The seller did an ABS test print before I purchased it and everything ran no problem.Upon setting it up at home, I had a massive clog on the first print. After disassembling the hotend the PTFE tubing was damaged, so I replaced it with a Micro Swiss MK10. Shortly after, a wire on the heating element became separated from its tube so I replaced the heating element. Through all of the disassembly/reassembly the nozzle end of the heater block became stripped…. Replaced heater block making sure the new one was wrapped in kapton tape…Reassembled everything and fired it up with a preheat of 245 celsius. Now the temperature is topping out at about 141 celsius. Checked thermistor was seated properly in the heating block and it is…I’m completely at a loss for where the problem could be. If it was a wiring problem, shouldn’t the heater block fail to heat at all instead of topping out at 141?… Maybe the thermistor is bad?… I’m kind of at a loss at this point. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated… http://ift.tt/29YiD6c
