Someone else posted a question seeking advice for 3d printing accessories to keep on hand while they wait for their shiny new toy/tool to ship. I started going down my personal list and when I hit one of my most important items, I realized it was something you don’t see a lot of discussion on here about: fire safety.It’s not glamorous and it doesn’t make your prints come out any better quality, but we should all be sure to have a smoke detector and at least one up to date class C fire extinguisher within close proximity to our 3d printers (or any other device where one of the main functions is to use electricity to make things hot for that matter.) This isn’t with regard to any particular printer; it’s just one of those things where it’s better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.While you’re at it, pick up a class K for your kitchen and make something delicious while you wait for that next project to finish printing! http://ift.tt/2DKphYB
