We are putting together a list of UK Makerspaces that Offer 3D printing. We would appreciate it if people could make suggestions for others that offer 3D printing.

Amazon cancelled my preorder of Monoprice Maker Select Plus (Wanhao i3 plus)

On Oct 5th, Monoprice was on the amazon product page, answering questions, etc, and stated that the printers would have the latest round of fixes/upgrades. Today, however, apparently Amazon cancelled the order, because Monoprice notified them they are not able to fill it. Bummer. http://ift.tt/2e7C9L0

I feel like my slicer is causing more issues than my printer, but I’m not experienced enough to tell

Printrbot Simple Metal only works with Cura 15.04 which I get the feeling is outdated. On top of that, when I select “support everywhere” several of my prints still fail because they didn’t have support that was really obviously needed. For example, printing the “pass the butter” robot from Rick and Morty, and it fails when printing the center column that supports the robot from its base. This wouldn’t fail if it had proper support, but Cura doesn’t generate proper support.Should I change slicers? I chose Cura because I use it at work a little so I was familiar with it, but I’ve been told Slic3r is also good.Or is it my printing expertise? Am I just not dialing in my prints properly?I apologize ahead of time for lacking any important info, and I very much appreciate your time. Thanks, reddit! http://ift.tt/2dBNqCI
