Looking for some video editing help for a filament review i’m conducting

I have (28) video clips of models spinning on a turntable, that i would like to edit into looping GIFs for internet viewing. I’ve converetd the videos to GIF already, and cropped them, but i also have the .MOV source files.http://ift.tt/1U7ZwEW looking for someone who is willing to donate time (that means definitely no pay) to help the community with me, and publish a visual comparison of many different material types, from several manufacturers.I also have 2 “HD” still images of each model, to compliment the looping videos. Each .MOV is about 7 seconds long, with maybe 1 second overlapping rotational position, to allow buffer for looping (each video is more that 360 degrees rotation).http://ift.tt/1Us12h8 PM me if you would llike to help, and i will setup a google drive link or dropbox if you prefer. Thanks! http://ift.tt/1U7ZAo8

Received my Monoprice select mini – Impressed!

So I decided to drop my backing for the 101hero delta and pick up the $200 MP Select Mini instead as it was readily available (out of stock now, apparently) and I have to say I am certainly impressed with the quality. The machine itself is very heavy for how big it is, at least 20 pounds by itself. Id prefer to have a more robust heated bed myself as the max temp seems to be around 60c (how they claim to be able to print ABS I do not know) although I did notice that the setting does allow you to go UP to 80c if you modify during a print, strange. My unit did have a slight issue when I received it in that the hotend/part cooling fan was not working. It was simply unplugged and was easy enough to plug in once we got the bottom off (6 screws); Aside from that, I noticed that I did not receive the sample filament that others seemed to have gotten, but we had a roll of matte grey pla available from our old i3 that we broke, so that wasn’t a huge issue. I also have a roll of NGen I’d like to try out on it later on once we get the profiles set up right. So far I’ve printed a few pieces that came with the printer and then a benchy, because benchy. The elephant was printed with default settings that came on the SD card, the benchy was printed using s3d with some exploratory settings that I thought might work well. Its a little rough but overall is not bad at all!http://ift.tt/1X4ELfm did notice though, that there seems to be a little loss of detail on the y axis, unless I’m mistaken, I think its supposed to have text on the back of the boat (but I mean, that detail is so small that I’m surprised I can see anything, to be honest)Overall I am very pleased with this printer, and am actually considering picking up a few more, for the price they’re a steal. http://ift.tt/1TQkKDO

Prusa i3 MK2 owners, can you elaborate on the new heatbed design?

Prusa talks about their MK42 heatbed that evenly heats across the whole bed instead of a hot center and cool edges. Can someone with the new kit describe what types of heating elements they are using and how they are arranged? http://ift.tt/1sYRUtZ
