Hotend wire quick connects
Just wondering who all has a “quick connect” style setup for their hotend so they can swap them out easily and all wires are in a easy to manage, single connection. Im wanting to do this, just dont know what type of connector is best. I was thinking of using a computer 8 pin PCI-e connector, since I can run 18-gauge wire through it for the heater cartridge. It would also allow me to run both fans (hotend and parts cooler) as well as the thermister. Thoughts? Better suggestions? http://ift.tt/29n4pqo

I designed some new Prusa i3 X-ends but won’t be able to print anything or test them for a couple weeks at least. If anyone could provide some quick feedback it’d be greatly appreciated!
