Voltron finally done! No paint, modified STLs, custom stand – 2.5 months

It’s finally done! I’ve been working on this for what seems like forever. Started around Feb 10th if memory serves. This model is from the fantastic models by Juri Pranjic, he’s got this and many many more, highly recommend them.Voltron Pics: https://ift.tt/2HoRMQB spent a bunch of time slicing up the original STLs so that I could get better color variation. The original model has the entire front torso in one model. To to get the gray crest, yellow cross, red guards etc I had to slice up the models using tinkercad. Same with the hips/belt. I really like the way the painted ones look, but felt painting wasn’t right for me. So I gave it my best shot at printing one piece at a time in the appropriate color.Also designed and printed a stand. He doesn’t stand up too well, unfortunately. I added some 3M adhesive to hold together the larger models (seemed more practical than superglue everywhere) and will allow to replace pieces if needed.LOTS of filing, broken pieces, reprints and general frustration along the way, but happy to have finally finished it.I’ll be packaging up the sliced parts and sending them back to Juri for inclusion into the files. He asked if I’d be willing to share and I said of course!Printed on CR10s, almost everything at .12 layer height.
