This is so frustrating…Rants of newby

I recently came in to some bonus money and dove into 3D printing. I was enamored by the concept of designing and printing whatever I want! Now it’s just failed print after failed print. I just can’t turn the corner on the crappy prints. I’ve only had it a week and I don’t intend on giving up but fuck me it’s frustrating. Any advice for beginners? Also I’d give up my first born for someone to come to my house and help me level my bed. I have no clue if it’s right or not.Printer: Qidi tech one dual extruderSlicer: Simplify3D http://ift.tt/2zccGxo

How Do I Make Reloading Filament Easier? (Anet A8)

Hey there.Got an Anet A8 using PLA filament (done the Mosfet thing, added some tensions, no other mods so far).I f’ing hate loading filament into it. I push down the screw, and stab it in 8 or 9 times, swearing, having no idea if I’m anywhere near the hole.Last time I got so annoyed I just disassembled the hot end and shoved it in, then put it back together and printed. Is there a way to make that whole faff easier? I’ve seen these bowden things. But, I got my fan for the hot end right on the end of the servo that does the feed, so not sure how well that’s going to work.Any tips to get my plastic rod, into the tight, dark, hot hole, to bring great joy … to my printing. Thanks for any advice. http://ift.tt/2A6ACis
