Forgive me if I am not asking for help correctly. However does anyone know why this is happening? Maker select v2 print bed 60degrees tip at 195degrees .3 layer height all other settings at default. On the left the are little hairs a bunch.

Has anyone sold a self made 3D printer?

Hi,My D-Bot is gathering dust sat next to me here, and I’m thinking of moving to a new i3 for a bit of space saving and to leverage the new features in the latest model.Has anyone ever sold a printer they built from scratch? How did you price it? Where did you sell it?It’s a very niche item, so was wonder how people have gone about it in the past.TIA http://ift.tt/2zkVeUI

3D Hubs Express Checkout

Still a bit miffed about the changes they made. Put in a Benchy and express checkout comes out to $9.06. No option for local pickup or shipping. Just a big fuck you, we will pick who we want to pick. Then I’m like, well maybe, just maybe they are picking someone close. So I select the manual option. I can’t find a single vendor within 400km that starts at $9.06.There is no logic behind the express checkout. Local pickup isn’t even a consideration. Can’t wait for something else like Makerhub to come online.Edit: Furthermore, shipping was over $9, for a Benchie…. A small flat rate box is like $7. There is no sign during the checkout process of who/where the order is going to. So there really isn’t anything express about the express checkout other than to put money into someone’s pocket at 3D Hubs. Not only are they screwing the customer, they are screwing the Hubs. That is the only way I can explain it. http://ift.tt/2z6mKoa

Monoprice Select Mini jammed out of the box?

I’ve never owned a 3D printer or printed anything 3D before, so I’m a complete noob here. I just got this printer a few days ago and found time to set it up today. I followed the instructions, but now I’m at the part where it says to feed filament down the tube and test the extruder. I manually pushed the filament down until I couldn’t anymore. Then I started using the feed motor control, but it can’t push it down any more either; instead it just grinds on the filament. All the while, nothing is coming out of the extruder at all.The extruder says it’s at 215C, and I’ve tried both the sample PLA and some other PLA that I bought, both are 1.75mm which is what this printer uses.I tried to google my problem and found a few similar posts, but my printer seems to be different from these. From the other posts it sounds like they can clearly see any jams simply by taking the fan off and looking inside the heatsink. But underneath my fan is some weird coil-like piece that is completely enclosed:http://ift.tt/2z5xFOR anyone help me out here? I just want to start printing 🙁 http://ift.tt/2yITh7x
