Cults3D has been posting a lot of links here recently directing people to their site based on cool designs. The thing is that most (if not all) of these designs are available on Thingiverse (where you don’t need to create an account and go through a silly “check out” process). And some of them are years old.The designs I’ve looked at (bottle opener, helicopter toy, wolverine claws) all use the exact same photos/descriptions/etc from Thingiverse, as linked in a number of posts by /u/HungInSarfLondonThe part that confuses me is that Cult3D site shows the original author that Thingiverse does as the creator (i.e. they aren’t trying to steal credit for the design).Are these designers truly uploading their designs to multiple sites for wider coverage, or is Cults3D just wholesale-copying Thingiverse pages with attribution to the original authors? http://ift.tt/2k7PPs9
