The Division shoulder beacon (x-post from r/airsoft)

Been working on the should-mounted antenna from The Division off an on for the past while. I’ve got a The Division themed airsoft game coming up in a few weeks, so I’m getting it ready for that.Today was a red letter day for the project as I got the led ring soldered to the controller board and, most importantly, got it pulsing in the antenna!.I 3d printed the main housing and back panel about 8 months back, along with the lens insert and put some temporary screws in to hold it together. It’s using the Adafruit NeoPixel Goggle kit and is printed / modified from this project. The changes I’ve made are mostly with how the small antenna clip on the side is attached, making it a bit more secure now. I’ll also be riveting on some snap-on molle strips to the back to hold it to the sling I’ve got showing up soon.I’ve also got a friend with a much bigger 3d printer working on the climb / rappel tool as a printed item that’ll hang on the front of my sling. I’ll get a shot of that probably when I get all my gear together. As a side note, I also recently printed a custom flash hider for my airsoft M4. http://ift.tt/2iYG1CW
