I just purchased one of these printers for me and my daughter to use and before anything, would like to do this fix. The problem is I have zero experience with soldering and wiring in general. There seem to be 3 different options but my first question is… will any of these not void the warranty? If not, should I wait until after the first 30 days before I do it (I’ve seen it happened to some people early on and they got an upgraded one as a replacement)? As for the fixes, it looks like there is the XT60 Connector replacement, MOSFET board and Hotbed bypass to power supply. I am leaning towards the XT60 Connector Replacement but I also stumbled across this image which looks pretty clean and sort of implements 2 of the solutions in one.As the MOSFET board seems to be most confusing, what would be the recommendation? I currently have the XT60 Connectors, Heat Shrink and a soldering kit in my cart on Amazon and ready to push the order through. I’m wondering if the diagram in the image is the better option though and if so, I may need to buy additional things (wires and those black cap things on the ends of the XT60s) http://ift.tt/2iCwdzI
