Is anyone else using the Cura 2.4 Beta? Have you tried any of the Special Modes or Experimental features yet?

I was using KISSlicer because it produced the highest quality prints on my MAX v3, but then someone mentioned that Cura 2.4 added compatibility for delta printers, so I gave it a try and WOW, this is the best slicer I’ve used, by far. More options than any other slicer (except perhaps slic3r, which has a few quite esoteric options, like custom per-layer or layer range layer height), best UI of any slicer I’ve used, extremely fast slicing that runs asynchronously while you’re using it, some very useful advanced options and special modes, just extremely polished all around experience and the quality of my prints appears to exceed that of KISSlicer (which may just be due to leveraging all the new options in Cura 2.4 that KISSlicer 1.5 doesn’t have). Is anyone else using it yet? I’m interested to hear what kind of settings everyone else is using with it, THERE ARE SO MANY. http://ift.tt/2ib2wEk

This was a challenge as every piece required different 3D Print settings, many were printed twice, in different orientations. It’s taken months, and of course soon as I started to print this R&D project an order would come in. No Pain No Gain I suppose! :-) @idmimagineering

Mono price sent me an extra Select Plusthat I didn’t pay for…

I feel morally obliged to call them, but- it’s technically mine now. It’s not like MP is small company or anything, and I know that doesn’t make it right to keep the thing, but it surely makes it a little less wrong, right?I’ll end up calling em later today, but was wondering your thoughts on this?EDIT:: Called MP, told me to keep it. 🙂 http://ift.tt/2iFzL3A
