In depth beginners guide to 3D printing

My first ever 3D printer arrived today (a Wanhao i3 Duplicator v2.1) but it’s going to be staying in the box until Christmas. In the meantime are there any in depth guides to 3D printing that I can read? Something that explains rafts and skirts and supports and what each bit of my printer is and does and software settings etc. This subreddit is great for admiring benchys but I get a bit lost when people start talking about z braces and retractions and things. http://ift.tt/2hwpqU2

Smoothieboard or Duet wifi

Pretty self explanatory. Trying to figure out which, but both seem to have benefits I like. Concerns are ease to configure, touch screen display(like mks), I like wifi and smoothieboard doesn’t have. I need to control for sure 2 extruders, possibly 3 in the near future.Just looking for input http://ift.tt/2gyB271
