Any cube3 owners interested in custom firmware?

Hey all, I can get my hands on a cube 3rd gen for a pretty good price, but I have noticed that all the “hacks” for it don’t allow you to use features like dual extrusion, wifi printing, and more. The cube is a pretty solid machine otherwise and it seems like the firmware is holding it back.Anyways, I am wondering how many of you proud (or not so proud) cube 3rd gen owners would be interested in a firmware “hack” that would allow use of bulk filament while hopefully integrating previously lost features like dual extrusion (and not having to swap out the cartridge when starting a print job.If there is significant interest I would be happy to try and create some new firmware/software that will bring these machines back to life. If you are interested please let me know.As a note I also have access to a cube ecocycle (recycled cube 3) that I’m pretty sure will be able to use the same software for all you ekocycle owners, so I’d be happy to see if I can try it out on that too if there is interest. http://ift.tt/2gBGCuG

Filament showdown.

I think we’re seriously missing a database for filament. I know that Thomas is working on a moderately simple database for filament that he gets sent out to test and review but I feel we’re in need of a much bigger database to be hosted around here to help people when they’re looking to purchase some and have no idea which to choose. As a way to say thank you and put back into this community, i’m very interested in creating such. If you guys would like to send me some reviews on some filaments, be my guest. At the moment, i’m not going to be rushing into it, but i will get creating a database soon for all of us.For now, can you guys drop some recommendations in here, no matter the price, material or experience. I will use the information here to start to create the database and will make it available to you within the next couple of weeks!Lets start being a proper community once again and helping each other in the ever growing, quite filled, filament market. http://ift.tt/2gB1rqr
