My project was featured on Hackaday!

http://ift.tt/2dnckLr celebrate, I’ve remodeled the sleeve/boot/sock/whatever mold to fit a tad better, removed the pesky bottom text, and adjusted the nozzle center location.I also added native CAD formats, so you can tweak however you like. Please be respectful and give attribution if you modify and upload elsewhere.Model download link (use “Rev 2” models only):http://ift.tt/2dFPzxu a precautionary side note, I’d like to reiterate that my GE Silicone I cast was only to test fitment, I have ordered Smooth-On Mold Max 60 for the final cast. I may do a small batch run of these to sell, PM me if you are interested. http://ift.tt/2dFTDCm

Noise dampening material for full enclosed printer

Currently i’m desingin a hi-end coreXY printer (yup, another one), so after dampening as much as possible noise from motors/lead screws i wish a can add some dampening material to all exterior panels so when printer is closed not a single noise can escape it’s chamber. 2-3 mm sheats would be perfect for my curent desing, otherwise I should modify it.There are many types, for example Automitive heat/noise isolation,Mute-X & others. What should I use? http://ift.tt/2dq7xom
