Help with a created model

I’m extremely new to both 3D printing and modelling, so beware the noob. I’m having issues with this printI created the model in Fusion 360, and am trying to slice in Simpify3D. The models drops onto the table and everything looks good, but when I slice it it ignores the holes in the model and prints it as a single entity.Is there something I did wrong in the simplify settings, or is this a model issue? http://ift.tt/2dL61gP

Replacing a printer control board (Aka TIFU by leaving a cable where people could trip over it)

I was printing a piece in my room on my Solidoodle 2 with a too short usb cable. Soon afterwards, my roommate tripped over said cable, ripping out the usb port on the printer board. I have tried replacing the port with a new one, yet I can no longer get my computer to recognize the printer, however it seems that the rest of the hardware (fans, motors, limit switches) are unharmed. Do you guys have any recommendations for a new printer board that I can modify to bring my printer back to life? (As Solidoodle has gone under this year, I find it unlikely that I will be able to get a replacement board or the like) http://ift.tt/2dKlUEb
