i3 mk2 live z adjust every print??

I Just got my prusa i3 mk2 kit up and running. I’ve been calibrating it all day for PETG and i was finally able to get a perfect print. I thought i was completely set. But it seems that every time i remove a print from the bed, the whole calibration seems off. I had a perfect print, then i printed the same thing again after removing the first print and the z height was way off, i went from a live adjust z of -0.045 to -0.375 to get it to print again.Am i doing something wrong? I thought this auto bed level stuff was good. Currently i am not happy with how flimsy this bed is and how the auto level seemingly isn’t really helping much. Am i supposed to z calibrate after every print? Frustrated. http://ift.tt/2eoc1eW

What can we do to end the onslaught of “wanna buy a first printer” posts

While I don’t mind them much, it would be nice to have a sticky just saying what we always say. A simple chart of our current “can’t go wrong” picks. Price along one axis, reccomended along another. Perhaps another chart putting intended use against printers too. What are your ideas? http://ift.tt/2empFAO

Printing samples closest to a mold-injection?

I am printing in FDM right now, but i notice a lot of pieces shrink, and don’t fit into the cut out spots the main frame piece, which the parts are suppose to go into.I plan on making a mold for this item. Before that, i should make sure the pieces will fit properly into the main frame. What is the closest printing method i can do (1 step below a mold-injection for mass manufacturing)? I want to see how the parts fit so i know what to expect from the mold.Sorry if this is a stupid question, i have no background in engineering/design, i’m self taught. http://ift.tt/2eUQCO8
