Based on the specs and price, it looks great, but it would be awesome to hear from people who have worked with it first-hand.Thanks! http://ift.tt/2czaC7G

Post Processing 3D prints

Hello Everyone,New to this group. Pleasure to meet you all.In the coming few months I will be starting a 3D printing company. One of the first in my country and region. In order to provide a good service I wanted to master post processing prints. Some of the prints will be used as replacement car parts and eventually for medical use. As such I want to provide my customers with a smooth and professional print. The following is what I have read and tried to smooth parts:ABS – Can be smoothed and repaired with ABS.PLA – Can be polished with Tetrahydrofuran (THF). (not tried it yet)I would like to know how to post process PETG. I have a few rolls coming soon.Maybe we can add to this thread so anyone who is curious about post processing can use this information. http://ift.tt/2bVoKJQ

Question about Prusa i3 mk2 (and general filament compatibility)

Hey all,I’m new on the 3d printing scene and had a question about filament compatibility. I’m going to be building a Prusa i3 mk2 as a second printer, and have a need to print PMMA (acrylic). Acrylic has an extrusion temperature of about 235-250 according to the chart. On the Prusa website, PMMA is not listed as a “compatible” filament. I was curious if this is just because it hasn’t been tested? Or if there is a legitimate reason why this filament is incompatible? And the more general question: Are there things to keep in mind / look for when trying to determine if certain filaments will work with a setup?Thank you all in advance for your help! http://ift.tt/2c8Fpq9
