3d printed functional molds.

Hey,I 3d printed molds for casting in rubber, silicone and plastics for the first time. I gotta say I am personally pleased with the results.Specifically I needed cushions where my exo-frame contacted the ground. Both heel and forefoot versions were required. After modeling the original heel and forefoot parts, I created shells from the original parts that I could print and cast with.Pla was used to 3d print the final molds. Results can be viewed here; http://ift.tt/2anZ0Dl would recommend this technique for creating functional assets that cannot be easily (cheaply) 3d printed. http://ift.tt/2aznj2r
