Fastest source for 3D printing hardware (ex. steel rod) in Canada?

I’m working on a project where I’ll need some 8mm and 10mm hardened steel rod along with bearings, belt, pulleys and aluminum extrusion. I’ll also need some motors and electronics. I know I can get some 15mmx15mm Open Beam and stepper motors from Solarbotics.ca, and I’ll be able to get most of my electronics from Amazon, but I can’t find a reliable source for steel rod/bearings in Canada. I’m not necessarily looking for the cheapest source for these parts, but rather the fastest way I can get these parts. This is for a project I’m working on that I have to have finished in two weeks. http://ift.tt/28XezBn

WTF I think one of my USB ports died mid print?

Was printing along at 4 hours (though with warping so maybe it’s good this happened) when suddenly things just stop, I hear the disconnection sound from windows, the lcd on my Creator Pro goes dark, and the print stops with a bunch of I/O error spam in ReplicatorG.Brand new to the 3d printing world and I got the printer about two days ago. I know I really should be using the SD card, but I don’t have a reader for my PC at the moment. So i’ll take this as a lesson to improve!White ABS that came with the printer. Nozzle at 240 and the bed at 110. The first layer of the skirt stayed stuck onto the platform but not after that. Every other print i’ve done (although none as big as this) has stuck on really well. Need to use a clay sculpting tool to get under and pry them off little by little.http://ift.tt/28SPqnE http://ift.tt/28Uvvaw

Every day I get a little closer

Got most of the frame done for the new printer. Still printing a few reinforcement brackets but at least not I can start to get a picture of how big this thing will be. Hopefully this weekend I will crank out enough parts to get the rest of structure reinforced and the z platform started.More pictures to come this weekend http://ift.tt/296yVW5
