Best Printable Printer?

I am thinking about printing the parts for a D-Bot CoreXY printer in PETG. I’ve read through the included guide, but I’d love to hear any experiences this sub may have had in building such a printer.I currently have a Printrbot Simple Metal with Heated bed, and have been printing for about 3 months; I’d love to expand my printing fleet. Is the D-Bot a good choice? I’ve never built anything this elaborate before, but I am pretty technically inclined. I love the huge build volume (300mm x 200mm x 325mm) and $550 cost.EDIT: Is there somewhere I can buy the rails pre-cut? Everyone keeps saying that’s a huge PITA. http://ift.tt/1XmDL76

I have an unprintable spool of Hatchbox ABS

I bought two spools of Hatchbox ABS from Amazon, one black, one silver. The black prints absolutely beautifully. The silver is brittle, breaks in my fingers, and prints terribly. It saddens me, because I’ve been through a handful of spools of their PLA, and i love the stuff.Has anyone else had similar issues? I sent an email to customer service just to inform them of the issue. Maybe the spool had been sitting on a shelf at Amazon to long or something?I know there was some discussion somewhere about the purity of colored filament, but i think this spool is past that point. http://ift.tt/22Bl0w9
