Wolfbite: What is it? Can we DIY something similar?

From the MSDS, all we know is “Proprietary aqueous solution of selected polymers. No hazardous ingredients known to company.”I’ve tried a few ideas for a DIY solution and none of them bond ABS to glass as well as wolfbite did.Standard ABS slurry – thick, hard to apply evenly, pretty strongDilute ABS slurry ~50% water – weak, doesn’t really workPVA dissolved in acetone – not as strong, hard to apply evenlyPVA suspension in water, dilute – not strong at all, worse than bare glassPVA suspension in water mixed with ABS slurry – this turned into a disgusting oozy mess and failedAnything else to try? http://ift.tt/2aM4rIC

Smart controller LCD doesn’t turn off

So I have this LCD http://ift.tt/2aPv5pR I dont have my Ramps hooked up to my PC, and turn off my printer, The LCD will turn off as well. However if I have my Ramps hooked up to my PC and turn off my printer, the LCD will stay on. Is there any way I can make my LCD turn off even when I have my Ramps hooked to my PC and turn off the printer. Its kind of a pain in the ass to reach behind my PC everytime I turn off my printer and disconnect the USB cable just so the LCD will turn off. http://ift.tt/2bmmAkz

Just found a great source for what seems to be good glass

Printers. I was taking a printer apart mostly for the motors and I realized that the scanner in it had a glass surface and when I got it out, it was exactly the thickness of my current piece of glass. I think it was even borosilicate too becausr the edges were green. Only thing I’m not sure of is the dangers of cutting this kind of glass or if its possible.Edit:forgot to mention, the printer i got this from was one of those really common white hp photo all in ones that you always see in thrift shops. Already threw the rest out so cant get a model number but you can get a lot of free printers on craigslist http://ift.tt/2aPW3h4

3D Printing and Dungeons and Dragons

So, I’m a DM for my group of friends and family, and the mini/tileset costs are starting to rise pretty drastically. So, I’m starting to wonder if just getting my own 3D printer would be more cost efficient. Anyone have experience doing this? What are the costs associated with using a 3D printer for this? http://ift.tt/2bbU7P3
